Family Root – Terms of Service

Welcome to Family Root!
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Family Root mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Family Root (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & Your Commitments
1.1 Who Can Use Family Root
You may use the Service only if:
- You are at least 13 years old (or older if required by local law)
- You can form a legally binding agreement
- You are not prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws
Parents or legal guardians are responsible for minors' use of the Service.
1.2 Your Account
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

- Be responsible for all activity under your account

2. Our Commitments
2.1 Providing the Service
We aim to provide a reliable and secure Service. However:
- The Service may experience interruptions or updates
- Features may change or be discontinued
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation
2.2 Privacy & Data Protection

By using Family Root, you agree to data processing as described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Content Permissions & Licenses
3.1 Your Content Ownership
You retain full ownership of the content you create and share on Family Root.
3.2 License You Grant to Family Root
By uploading or sharing content, you grant Family Root a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:
- Host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content
- Use the content only to operate, improve, promote, and provide the Service
This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except where retention is required by law.
4. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Upload illegal, harmful, abusive, hateful, or misleading content
- Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
- Misuse the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
We reserve the right to remove content or restrict access if these rules are violated.
5. Premium Features & Subscriptions (If Applicable)
Family Root may offer optional paid or premium features in the future.
If enabled:
- Payments will be processed through Apple App Store or Google Play
- Billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds follow store policies
- Family Root does not store full payment details
6. Marketplace & Physical Products (Future Use)
If Family Root offers physical products (such as family photo frames, prints, cups, T-shirts, or other customized items):
- Family Root may act as a platform connecting users with third-party vendors
- Printing, fulfillment, shipping, and delivery may be handled by third parties
- Product-specific terms will be shown at checkout
7. Account Suspension & Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support.
We may suspend or terminate accounts:
- For violation of these Terms
- For unlawful or harmful behavior
- To protect the Service or other users
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."
We make no warranties regarding:
- Accuracy of content
- Availability of features
- Error-free operation
Family Root does not provide legal, medical, financial, or inheritance advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Family Root shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or content
- Actions of other users or third-party services
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operating entity of Family Root is registered.
Disputes will be resolved through:
- Arbitration or small claims court (where applicable)
